Special iApps supplies educational apps to support children with special educational needs, including autism and Down syndrome. The apps can be used by parents, educational settings or healthcare settings and are proven to encourage many areas of a child’s development. Apps can be configured and personalised to suit each individual child.
Special iApps approached us to support them with a targeted marketing campaign to drive sign ups to the free 14-day trial, and then to convert these into sales for their new subscription membership.
Our approach was to begin with an initial planning session where all the members of the team had an input; setting objectives, exploring the key messaging for the campaign and the goals for the digital marketing campaign. The Special iApps team had already identified that the key platforms for this marketing campaign would be a combination of social and email activities.
From this first session, we constructed a comprehensive tactical plan with a phased approach to converting to the proposed membership model. We then worked with Rebecca, Special iApps lead marketing officer to create workflows, identify and utilise existing content as well as building a targeted customer survey to capture much needed data about Special iApps users.
Amanda was the lead on this project, and she explains “This was very much a collaborative project. The Special iApps team are experts in their field and we worked alongside them to help them develop a more strategic approach to their marketing. With a series of one-to-one sessions, we developed a three phased approach to converting users to a new subscription model. We then looked at how by growing a Special iApps community and brand ambassadors, the charity could support more parents, carers, teachers, as well as health and care professionals when working with SEN children.”
